Rapp-It is a quick action emergency pipe repair system that stops leaks instantly. It is so simple to use, with no mixing or measuring required. Rapp-It has woven fibreglass substrate impregnated with a water activated polyurethane resin. Major industries such as the mining, industrial, marine and agricultural environments are specific markets and areas of use for Rapp-It products.
Rapp-It’s ability to perform effectively in emergency situations greatly reduces costly downtime and production loss, and because of the products ease of use, it can be applied by practically any apprentice applicator. Because Rapp-It can produce a successful repair within 30 minutes, it should be made available to all maintenance staff within your industry. |

Rapp-It is simple to use and requires very little preparation.
| 1. | Once the leaking area is identified shut down relevant pipes or hoses immediately. |
| 2. | Prepare the surface by roughening the pipe with emery paper or equivalent. |
| 3. | Apply the enclosed latex gloves. |
| 4. | Open aluminium foil pouch and immerse Rapp-It in temperate fresh water for 10 seconds |
| 5. | Remember the entire contents must be used once the package is opened. |
| 6. | It is important that Rapp-It is applied quickly as curing begins once the roll is taken out of the water. |
| 7. | Apply Rapp-It around the damaged area, expanding up to 50mm either side of the leak to ensure complete coverage. |
| 8. | Whilst wrapping, pull each layer tightly using your hand to mould and squeeze the layers together. Continue this action during and upon completion. |
| 9. | For best results, manufacturers recommend the completed application should be no less than 10mm in thickness. |

It is important that you choose the correct size for your application.
Rapp-It bonds to most pipe substrates including copper metal, PVC and polyurethane.
The maximum diameter of a pipe that can be repaired is about 12". The most common and successful repairs are targeted towards 1/2" to 6" diameter pipes. Two or more bandages can be used for a repair if required, ensuring an even firmer repair.
Rapp-It is chemically resistant to most chemicals including harsh solvents such as MEK, hydrochloric acid and gasoline etc. with no softening of the bandage. Its heat resistance is 150 degrees Celsius – anything over this temperature could cause toxic fumes.
Rapp-It has been successful in petrochemical, general manufacturing, food and chemical processing. The marine industries; from small fishing craft through to container shipping vessels within their boiler and engine rooms.
