The test was on a Tungham pipe of 44.5mm outer diameter, 3mm wall thickness and 600mm length with closed ends. The pipe had two holes drilled of 1mm diameter, centrally and offset by 30°. The pipe had been wrapped with a covering of FIBREsheet over a length of 400mm after preparation of a light abrasive and solvent clean. The working pressure of the original pipe was stated as 20 bar.
The test consisted of
increased pressure increments commencing;
20 bar for 5 minutes,
30 bar for 5 minutes,
40 bar for 5 minutes,
100 bar for 5 minutes.
No drop in pressure or leakage was noted during the time of the test procedure.

FIBREsheet solves many industrial maintenance problems.
In most areas FIBREsheet will provide a long lasting and cost effective system, that is:
|
|
Easy to instal |
|
|
Fast curing |
|
|
Mouldable (cuts to shape) |
|
|
Chemical and temperature resistant |
|
|
A long term repair |

FIBREsheet is manufactured to the strictest standards of ISO 9001. This eliminates
any variation in the mixing, delivery a constant quality controlled product.
FIBREsheet has a shelf life of up to one year when stored correctly.

FIBREsheet is a UV cured, fibreglass reinforced plastic laminate. It provides a seamless, immensely flexible, chemically resistant, easy-to-install, resin protective shield for pipes in countless different applications.
FIBREsheet forms an impenetrable waterproof lining and is chemically resistant to a wide range of acids and alkalis, including seawater. These qualities make it excellent for the prevention of corrosion. The material can be applied to almost any surface, and has excellent bonding properties to steel, concrete, etc.
FIBREsheet is available in a range of five sizes, from a small patch (20cm x 25 cm) to a large roll (60cm x 10m). FIBREsheet is manufactured to the strictest standards of ISO 9001.

FIBREsheet is packaged in a roll form, sealed inside a foil bag and an outer cardboard tube. The patch version (20cm x 25cm) is packaged in a flat foil pouch. The material is delivered between two red films that act as UV retarding filters, and are removed during application. No special equipment is required to apply FIBREsheet. The surface being repaired should be clean, dry and roughened.
Prior to application,
FIBREsheet is tacky and mouldable. It is safe and easy
to handle, and can be cut to any shape required. A minimum of 15mm
overlap should be allowed on seams. Any unused material can be resealed
in the original foil pouch and used again. It must not be exposed to UV light,
and should be stored in a cool shaded area under 25°C.
To apply FIBREsheet, peel
off the red UV filter backing film and press firmly,
shaping and moulding to avoid any air pockets. The outer backing film may
be removed minutes after application. FIBREsheet will cure within 30
minutes in direct sunlight.
FIBREsheet cures with
UV light in the wavelength 365-420nm. Normal
daylight contains sufficient light of this wavelength to cure the material
at
temperatures as low as 2°C. Where no UV light is present, UV lamps must
be used, at a minimum of 300 watts.
